Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." 1 Corinthians 15:58 Stand Firm Teaching
"Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong." 1 Corinthians 16:13 Stand Firm Teaching

Who we are

"I want to make you keen-sighted, and not simply exercise you superficially, but bring you to the deep of the divine Scriptures, a deep without storms, a deep safer than any calm sea. The father out you go, the greater safety you find. For here there is no disordered rush of waters, but an orderly arrangement of ideas." - St. John Chrysostom

"We recognize a tree by its fruit, and we ought to be able to recognize a Christian by his action. The fruit of faith should be evident in our lives, for being a Christian is more than making sound professions of faith. It should reveal itself in practical and visible ways. Indeed it is better to keep quiet about our beliefs, and live them out, than to talk eloquently about what we believe, but fail to live by it." - Ignatius to the Ephesians

"Whenever you read the Gospel, Christ himself is speaking to you. And while you read, you are praying and talking with him." - St. Tikhon of Zadonsk

"The old men used to say: God demands nothing from Christians except that they shall harken to the Holy Scriptures, and carry into effect the things that are said in them." - The Sayings of the Desert Fathers

Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved—and that by God. - Philippians 1:27-28

Study Through the Bible

CATALOG OF RECORDINGS AND CLASS INFORMATION

Join us on Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm to 8:00pm for our study through St. Paul's letter to Titus. The Apostle tasked St. Titus, his trusted spiritual son, with putting in order what remained unfinished after St. Paul planted the seeds of the church in Crete (Titus 1:5). St. Titus follows in the Apostle's footsteps, seeking to further the faith of God's elect and their knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness (Titus 1:1). To assist St. Titus, St. Paul writes a letter focused not on evangelism, but on the spiritual work of Christians learning how to better devote themselves to living out God's call (Titus 3:14). The Christians of Crete already had their brushes in hand; St. Paul teaches them how to paint. The class meets in the Parish Hall of St. Andrew's Anglican Church: 115 Paddock Dr, Versailles, KY 40383, (859) 873-3321. Recordings of of the classes will be available on this site. The complete catalog of recordings allows for the classes to be streamed or downloaded.

Class Reviews

"Joshua's Bible study is an exceptional class. It is evident that he devotes a lot of time because he is thoroughly and deeply prepared every week. He powerfully demonstrates how interwoven the books are and educates us in a manner that truly illuminates who Jesus Christ is and what He did. Josh educates us with what the Bible itself states - he shows us the linkage. This inspires me to out-of-class Bible study and to prayerfully contemplate my gifts, talents, and abilities and listen for God's guidance for His purpose.

"Joshua is very accessible, too. He is outsanding with questions - great on his feet. He backs them up using Scripture." - Ruth Walker
