Our approach

"I want to make you keen-sighted, and not simply exercise you superficially, but bring you to the deep of the divine Scriptures, a deep without storms, a deep safer than any calm sea. The farther out you go, the greater safety you find. For here there is no disordered rush of waters, but an orderly arrangement of ideas." - St. John Chrysostom

"We recognize a tree by its fruit, and we ought to be able to recognize a Christian by his action. The fruit of faith should be evident in our lives, for being a Christian is more than making sound professions of faith. It should reveal itself in practical and visible ways. Indeed it is better to keep quiet about our beliefs, and live them out, than to talk eloquently about what we believe, but fail to live by it." - St. Ignatius to the Ephesians

"Whenever you read the Gospel, Christ himself is speaking to you. And while you read, you are praying and talking with him." - St. Tikhon of Zadonsk

"The old men used to say: God demands nothing from Christians except that they shall harken to the Holy Scriptures, and carry into effect the things that are said in them." - The Sayings of the Desert Fathers

Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved—and that by God. - Philippians 1:27-28

Study Through the Bible

CATALOG OF RECORDINGS AND CLASS INFORMATION

Join us on Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm to 8:00pm for our study through the Book of 2 Peter. In the book of 2 Peter, the Apostle Peter writes a work of pastoral care as he prepares to depart this world. To guard and protect God's flock, Peter anchors us in the real reality and history of the gospel he has proclaimed. He identifies the most pernicious threat facing the flock, the false prophets who come as wolves disguised as fellow sheep. He puts into a spotlight the future history of the coming judgment and shows what this means for daily Christian life. This epistle is an urgently needed dose of clarity and perspective for Christians struggling to walk the narrow road home.

The class currently meets in the Parish Hall of St. Andrew's Anglican Church: 115 Paddock Dr, Versailles, KY 40383, (859) 873-3321. Recordings of of the classes will be available on this site. The complete catalog of recordings allows for the classes to be streamed or downloaded.
