"Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain."

Our approach

"I want to make you keen-sighted, and not simply exercise you superficially, but bring you to the deep of the divine Scriptures, a deep without storms, a deep safer than any calm sea. The father out you go, the greater safety you find. For here there is no disordered rush of waters, but an orderly arrangement of ideas." - St. John Chrysostom

"We recognize a tree by its fruit, and we ought to be able to recognize a Christian by his action. The fruit of faith should be evident in our lives, for being a Christian is more than making sound professions of faith. It should reveal itself in practical and visible ways. Indeed it is better to keep quiet about our beliefs, and live them out, than to talk eloquently about what we believe, but fail to live by it." - St. Ignatius to the Ephesians

"Whenever you read the Gospel, Christ himself is speaking to you. And while you read, you are praying and talking with him." - St. Tikhon of Zadonsk

"The old men used to say: God demands nothing from Christians except that they shall harken to the Holy Scriptures, and carry into effect the things that are said in them." - The Sayings of the Desert Fathers

Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved—and that by God. - Philippians 1:27-28

Study Through the Bible

CATALOG OF RECORDINGS AND CLASS INFORMATION

Join us on Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm to 8:00pm for our study through the Book of 1 Peter. In the book of 1 Peter, the Apostle Peter writes a training manual for Christians to live out God's grace in its fullness as sojourners traveling home through a foreign country. The new life God creates within Christians begins a journey along the narrow road home to Paradise, a path that requires watchful vigilance to successfully navigate. Peter has walked that narrow road himself and he has the first-hand knowledge of Christ as a whole Person that we need in order to live a whole Christian life. Christ trained Peter so that Peter would train us for the road home. We will engage in that training for Christian living on Wednesday nights from 7:00pm to 8:00pm starting on May 8, 2019, as we study verse by verse through the book of 1 Peter.

The class currently meets in the Parish Hall of St. Andrew's Anglican Church: 115 Paddock Dr, Versailles, KY 40383, (859) 873-3321. Recordings of of the classes will be available on this site. The complete catalog of recordings allows for the classes to be streamed or downloaded.
